Family member of the Sunflower plant, the oil is extracted from the seeds.
Safflower oil has a high content of unsaturated fatty acids but is best mixed with another carrier oil with good antioxident qualities to increase its shelf life as Safflower oil can go rancid quickly.
Safflower oil has great moisturising qualities which makes it a good choice to include when mixing a massage oil or preparing a carrier oil blend.
