Chamomile 3% in Jojoba Oil - (Chamaemelum anthemis nobile)

Steam distilled from the flowers Chamomile has a bright, crisp, sweet, fruity, herbaceous aroma. Dried Chamomile leaves have been used for many years as a soothing tea.

The essential oil is used in shampoos, rinses and fresheners to impart a fresh fragrance and also for its soothing effects. This essential oil should always be diluted, as provided here, before applying to the skin. It is non-toxic and non-irritant but with possible sensitization in some individuals.

Aromatherapists have used Chamomile orally to reduce flatulence and/or diarrhea due to a nervous stomach, to treat travel sickness, produce mild sedation, reduce restlessness and irritability, treat the common cold, treat fevers, reduce cough, for liver and gallbladder complaints, and to increase appetite.

Chamomile has also been used topically to reduce acne, inflammation of the skin, mouth, and throat; to reduce nasal inflammation and discharge; and to treat insect bites, wounds, and burns.  

Chamomile essential oil can help to calm babies at time of teething, upset tummies and skin allergies and irritation such as, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis.

Chamomile essential oil blend well with lavender, geranium, jasmine, tea tree, grapefruit, bergamot, clary sage, rose, lemon and ylang-ylang.
