Aniseed Essential Oil, 100% Pure Aromatherapy natural oils extracted by steam distillation of dried fruits of anise, or Pimpinella anisum.

Aniseed or Anise has been in use as a spice and flavouring agent for food stuffs and beverages, mouth freshener, digestive agent and medicinal properties.

Aromatherapists use Aniseed oil: as an antiseptic for mild cuts and skin abrasions, aphrodisiac, asthma, bronchitis, colds, colic, coughs, menstrual cramps and other stomach pain, flatulence, increasing breast milk, calming, circulation, emotional balance, heartache, head aches, indigestion, relaxation, muscle spasm, muscular aches and pains, rheumatism, stress from overwork and toothaches.

Used in a vaporiser Aniseed oil provides relief from asthma, colds and breathing problems, as well as easing vomiting and nausea.

This essential oil should always be diluted with a suitable carrier oil such as Sweet Almond Oil before applying to the skin. It is non-toxic and non-irritant but with possible sensitization in some individuals.
